Ignite Melbourne (hashtag #ignitemel) will be held on March 2nd, 2010 at Loop bar with talks starting at 6:30 (so get there a bit early). Please register for the event to make sure we save a place for you. If you'd like to present, follow the instructions on the Speakers page.

Wow. That was awesome!

Last night we ran Ignite Melbourne which went off without a hitch and was (if I may say so) hugely successful.

Rachel de Sain - "Growing old disgracefully, it’s everyones right"

I was massively impressed with the quality and breadth of the talks covered.  I found Robert Shepher’s “Open-source biotech; green solutions to human health” inspirational, Toby Hede’s “Things I have learned from a lifetime of failure” hilarious and Collis Ta-eed’s “Fast and Furious Startups: How to Iterate to Awesomeness” motivational.  I’d give commentary on the others, but there really isn’t the room.  You’ll be able to judge for yourself very soon as we’ll have videos out “real soon now”(TM).

A big congratulations to Rachel De Sain for receiving best speaker prize, as voted for by the audience.

Highlights

Look, I'm in the Matrix! (Paul Szymkowiak)

Thanks again to everyone who participated.  The speakers who worked so hard to enlighten us and succeeded.  The audience who were supportive, fun and engaged.  The sponsors who gave us their time, money and products.  Finally, thanks to O’Reilly who have rallied so many peoplefrom around the world to participate in Global Ignite Week.
